Supporting Excellence in Music Education at Ponderosa High School
The Ponderosa High School Bruin Bands & Guard are a student-centered music and performance program dedicated to excellence, growth, teamwork, and community. Through concert ensembles, marching band, jazz band, percussion, and color guard, students build musical skill, confidence, leadership, and pride while representing Ponderosa High School in Shingle Springs and throughout the Sacramento region.
BOOSTERS
Supporting Students Through Music, Service, and Community
The Ponderosa High School Bruin Band Boosters are a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the students, families, directors, instructors, and staff of the Ponderosa High School Bruin Bands & Guard. Through volunteer service, fundraising, program support, and community involvement, the Boosters help provide resources and opportunities that enrich each student’s music education experience.
The Boosters work to strengthen the band and guard program by recruiting volunteers, supporting events, assisting with program needs, and helping raise funds for student opportunities throughout the school year.
Helping Provide the Resources Students Need to Thrive
Booster support helps make many parts of the Bruin Bands & Guard program possible. Funds raised by the Boosters may help support instrument repair, sheet music, percussion equipment, color guard flags and uniforms, drum major training, transportation fees, meals at marching band competitions, honor band opportunities, marching band shirts, concert and jazz band festivals, scholarships, leadership training, and other program needs.
Families are encouraged to get involved by attending monthly meetings, volunteering at events, supporting fundraisers, and helping create a positive and successful experience for all Bruin Band & Guard students.

Sponsorships & Donations
Community support plays an important role in the success of the Bruin Bands & Guard. Sponsorships and donations help support student opportunities, equipment needs, travel, meals, festivals, scholarships, and other program expenses throughout the year.
Local businesses, families, alumni, and community members are invited to partner with the program and help support music education at Ponderosa High School.
